ATS IIoT V2 Gateway Installation

Updated on

Items Needed:

  1. ATS IIoT V2 Gateway
  2. (4) Antennas
    1. 2x Mobile
    2. 1x Wi-Fi
    3. 1x Unlabeled
  3. Barrel Jack Power Adapter 12v or 24v

1. Attach the antennas with the antenna connectors on the top as shown below:

From left to right the order is Mobile #1, Unlabeled antenna, Mobile #2, Wi-Fi.

All antennas must be installed in the correct order to the corresponding connector. If installed properly it can cause damage to the Antenna or connector.

Be aware the internal mount for the antennas is attached loosely internally, until the antennas are tightened.

DO NOT push the antenna connectors in. This could cause the card to drop into the enclosure. If this happens open the enclosure and reposition the card.

2. Plug in the AC/DC Barrel Jack Power Adapter into an easily accessible 120V outlet.

3. Plug in the barrel Jack at the bottom of the ATS IIoT V2 Gateway.

4. Mount the ATS IIoT V2 Gateway at least 10ft or higher with a clear line of site.

When mounting the ATS IIoT V2 Gateway verify the following:

  • Gateway is not surrounded by any metal objects.
  • Gateway is mounted with clear visibility to receive sensor transmissions. Ensure the antennas are free from any potential obstruction.
  • Gateway is mounted away from concrete walls, liquids, and other debris.
  • If possible, Gateway is not mounted on a painted surface.
  • Gateway should be plugged in to an outlet located where it cannot be easily unplugged or knocked out.
  • Gateway signal strength is >60%. If not try an alternate position or mounting location.

5. ATS IIoT V2 Gateway OLED will populate information within 2-3 minutes. Ensure the signal strength is >60%. If not try an alternate position or mounting location.

6. The Gateways RED LED will illuminate when it is not connected. After plugging the gateway in please allow for up to 5 minutes to establish a cellular connection.

7. The Gateways LED will turn Green (and the RED LED will turn off) when connected to the internet.

8. Once installed, take a picture of the gateway and attach it to a support ticket on SD+ to confirm placement of install.

9. The OLED yellow text shows current date and time. Check for accuracy.

Fill out a support ticket at  https://mhmsupport.advancedtech.com/ if the information on the OLED is inaccurate. For instructions on how to do so click here.
