Device Troubleshooting: Disconnected Head

1. Verify the M12's are connected properly.

Carefully push the guard on the M12 connector back to expose the keyway.

  1. Slide the keyway gently onto the sensor.
  2. Rotate until the keyway engages.
  3. Push the M12 connector in and twist.
  4. Push the M12 connector in and twist.
  5. Push the M12 connector in and twist.

Continue to push the connector in and twist until it cannot go any further.

2. If Step 1 does not work, try the following:

  • Check the JST connectors are firmly connected. Push on the JST connectors gently on both sides of the rectangle connector and verify that nothing is damaged.

Please note: There are commonly two JST connectors per each M12 head, and then four on the board.

  • Verify the XBee antenna is attached and not loose by gently pushing on it.
  • Push down gently on the batteries. Press the CONFIG button once to test that the batteries are working. If they are working, the light will blink red.
