8.1 Dashboard FAQ : User Role Descriptions

Within the R360® MHM Dashboard certain pages and actions are permission restricted. See below for a list of allowed actions and pages per role:

Default User

All users will have the default user role. This role will provide users with the ability to see majority pages in read-only mode, with the exception of what is outlined below.

Users with the role DEFAULT USER CANNOT perform or see the following pages/actions:

  • Company Management
  • Pause Alerting (Monitoring Points, Asset, Sub-Location, and Site)
  • Request FFTs

Users with the role of DEFAULT USER CAN perform the following actions:

  • Add comments to recommendations
Technician

When assigning this role ensure the user also has the DEFAULT role added.

Users with the role TECHNICIAN CANNOT perform or see the following pages/actions::

  • View or edit the Company Management page
  • Edit Cost Avoidance data (CA Dashboard, Recommendation, and Asset Defaults)
  • Set or enable Thresholds on Monitoring Points
  • Resolve Alerts
  • Request FFTs

Users with the role TECHNICIANS HAVE READ-ONLY access to the following pages. see the following pages:

  • View thresholds on an Asset Monitoring Point
  • Contacts Page

Users with the role of TECHNICIAN CAN perform the following actions:

  • Add Comments to Alerts (including Collaboration & State)
  • Can Pause Alerting (MP, Asset, Sub-Location, Site)
  • Can edit details about assets and monitoring points
    • Can Add/Edit/Delete Pictures from Assets & Monitoring Points.
    • Can Add Asset Notes.
    • Can Delete a Monitoring Point from an Asset.
    • Can Edit the Name & Description of an Asset & Monitoring Point.
  • View and edit Recommendations with Restrictions
    • Restrictions include:
      • Creating a new Recommendation
      • Viewing or Editing a Recommendation in Draft Status
      • Setting Status to "Draft", "CA Review", or "Closed"
      • Editing Title and Description fields
      • Editing the Recommendation while the status is "Closed"
      • Adding or Removing Alerts from the Recommendation
      • Removing attachments from the Recommendation
      • Editing Cost Avoidance Data
Manager

When assigning this role ensure the user also has the DEFAULT role added.

Users with the role MANAGER CANNOT perform the following actions:

  • Set and enable thresholds on an Asset Monitoring Point.
  • Resolve Alerts

Users with the role MANAGER CAN see and perform the following actions:

  • Edit Users within Company Management (User Management Tab Only)
  • Edit Alerts:
    • Add Comments to Alerts (including Collaboration & State)
    • Can Pause Alerting (MP, Asset, Sub-Location, Site)
  • Can view and Manage Hierarchy
  • Can Request FFTs
  • Can edit cost avoidance data (on Cost Avoidance Dashboard, Recommendation, Asset Page Defaults) 
  • Can view and edit contacts on the Contacts Page.
  • Can edit details about assets and monitoring points
    • Can Add/Edit/Delete Pictures from Assets & Monitoring Points.
    • Can Add Asset Notes.
    • Can Delete a Monitoring Point from an Asset.
    • Can Edit Name & Description of an Asset & Monitoring Point.
  • Can edit Cost Avoidance defaults on Asset
  • View and edit Recommendations with Restrictions
    • Restrictions include:
      • Creating a new Recommendation
      • Viewing or Editing a Recommendation in Draft Status
      • Setting Status to "Draft", "CA Review", or "Closed"
      • Editing Title and Description fields
      • Editing the Recommendation while the status is "Closed"
      • Adding or Removing Alerts from the Recommendation
      • Removing attachments from the Recommendation
      • Ability to update other tabs while under "CA Review" status.
